Summary: n The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) serves as a professional provider with the responsibility to practice in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the practice of an APN in the state in which services are performed. The APN is responsible for working in collaboration with patients, families, caregivers and the primary care physician to deliver episodic acute care and chronic medical management for patients with progressive illnesses. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
